At LAHU HOPE FOUNDATION, our mission is to promote Lahu culture, heritage, and traditions by increasing access to basic resources, expanding educational and leadership opportunities, strengthening spiritual well-being and faith leadership, and providing greater access to cultural education for the Lahu community.
At LAHU HOPE FOUNDATION, our vision is to uplift the Lahu community, present and future generations, by fostering hope, faith, and dignity while encouraging meaningful contributions to society.
The Lahu people are an ethnic minority group originally from regions of China and Laos, many of whom were displaced during the Vietnam War. As a result, many Lahu families continue to face economic hardship and rely on social programs to meet their basic needs. Today, Lahu communities are found around the world, with the largest populations remaining in China, Thailand, and Laos.
Our programs include faith-based and community-based support, cultural education and development, outreach initiatives, community engagement, cultural events, and recreational activities that help preserve and promote Lahu culture, heritage, and traditions.
